Earphones that Utsusemi-Works tuned with everything we had, with the cooperation of O2aid. They are a natural match for the SOUND TIGER series, and even plugged straight into your player, you will hear the Utsusemi-Works character.
The sound takes a different direction from O2aid's existing products. That is why, instead of a single-kanji name, we gave it a name of its own.
With extended highs, beautiful mids and tight lows, it puts the realism of acoustic instruments first. This also gives it excellent vocal expression: you can hear the breathing and even how the singer's mouth opens, bringing you close to what the singer means to express.
We tuned the earphones and the cable in turns, refining each against the other until the balance was right. The earphones and cable come as a set, and we stand behind the sound of the two together.
Fit affects how the sound reaches you, so please keep these three points in mind.

They use a different-coloured housing of the intime Sho DD, but almost everything inside has been replaced. A VST-K tweeter for more extended highs is paired with a titanium-coated woofer for tighter lows. The ring holding the two was changed from resin to aluminium to add brilliance to the sound, and a built-in HDSS, which optimises the woofer's movement, refines it further. For the female connectors we chose Pentaconn ear for their low contact resistance and durability.
After checking the sound, we chose intime's own silver–copper hybrid cable. The earphone-side connectors are from NOBUNAGA Labs, and the 4.4 mm plug is a rare gold-plated brass plug by Topura. The solder, too, was chosen for its sonic balance (we do not disclose the brand. The plug is available in 4.4 mm only).
A pair of earphones we built at an ASSY meeting turned out with a sound we loved. Listening to them, we thought, "if we can, we want to release this sound," and when we approached O2aid about a collaboration, they kindly agreed. Using those earphones as the base, we carefully refined them together with the O2aid staff. The result went beyond what we first imagined.
These are earphones with the sound Utsusemi-Works wants you to hear. Please try them before you decide. They are not a limited edition, but from the next lot onward, supply of the Topura plugs may become uncertain.
